Information you give us
When you submit the contact or consultation form, we collect what you enter. This may include:
- Your name
- Your company
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to provide it
- Your industry
- The service you are interested in
- Your location (state or province)
- A description of your situation
- Your consent to be contacted
Please do not include sensitive information in the description field, such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or health information. We do not need it to respond to you.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Hostinger) and our network and security provider (Cloudflare) record basic technical details when you visit. This includes your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request, and the time of your visit. Cloudflare also screens traffic for attacks, reports connection errors, and hides our email address from automated harvesters. These records help us keep the site secure and working.
When you submit the form, our form software also records your IP address, browser and device details, and the page you submitted from, so we can detect spam and abuse.
We do not currently use analytics or session-recording tools on this site. If we decide to use them, we will update this policy before they are turned on.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation
- Understand your business and the services you need
- Keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse
- Understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it
- Meet our legal obligations
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies and similar tools
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The site may use the following:
- Security cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie to tell people from automated traffic. It is not used for advertising.
- Session storage. The site stores one value in your browser to remember whether you paused the animation on the home page. It is deleted when you close your browser tab. It does not identify you.
You can block or delete cookies and site storage in your browser settings. The site will still work if you do.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we do not use tracking or advertising tools, the site treats all visitors the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. We do not allow third parties to track you across other sites through this site.
Who we share information with
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process your information on our behalf and only for the purposes we set. They include:
- Hostinger, which hosts the website and stores form submissions
- Email delivery services, which send form notifications and our replies
- Cloudflare, which delivers and secures the site
- Our form software, Fluent Forms, which runs on our own site and does not send your entries to its developer
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business. In that case we would require the new owner to honor this policy.
Where your information is stored
We are based in the United States. Our service providers may store and process data in the United States and other countries. If you visit from Canada, your information may be transferred to and handled in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your province.
How long we keep information
We keep form submissions for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client or the law requires us to keep them longer. After that we delete them. Hosting and security logs are kept for a short period and then removed.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong or out of date
- Delete your information
To make a request, email [email protected]. Tell us what you would like us to do. We may ask for enough information to confirm it is you. We will respond within the time the law requires, and usually sooner. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
California residents
If you live in California, you can make the requests below. We honor them whether or not the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, applies to a business of our size. You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we collect, where it comes from, why we use it, and who we share it with
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not request sensitive information through this site; please do not submit it
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may have an authorized agent make a request for you. We may ask the agent for proof that you gave them permission.
In the past twelve months we have collected the categories listed under “Information you give us” and “Information collected automatically”. We use them for the purposes listed under “How we use your information” and disclose them only to the service providers listed above.
Canadian visitors
If you are in Canada, applicable Canadian privacy requirements, which may include PIPEDA, depend on the information and activity involved. We collect it only with your consent and only for the purposes described here. You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits. You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. If you have a concern we have not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Person responsible for privacy
Our Privacy Officer is responsible for how we protect personal information, including for residents of Quebec. You can reach the Privacy Officer at [email protected] with “Privacy Officer” in the subject line, or by mail at the address below.
Email from us
We use your contact details to reply to your inquiry. We do not add you to a newsletter or marketing list unless you ask to join. If we ever send you a marketing email, it will identify SPL Management, include our mailing address, and include a way to unsubscribe, which we will honor promptly.
Children
This site is for business audiences. It is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, limited access to form submissions, and reputable providers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.
Links to other sites
Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will note it here. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
